What We Do

Staff Development & Public Speaking

Workshop talk
  • 2 Hour Workshops: $400 includes powerpoint presentations, handouts, Q&A session and follow up.
  • All Day Training: $850 for 6 hours + includes powerpoint presentation, houndouts, Q&A session, follow up, individual consultations and suggestions for modifications and supports.

Directors Amanda Friedman & Alison Berkley offer custom fit workshops for daycares, schools, and after school programs in the areas of multi - strategic approaches, communicative intent, DIR/Floortime and ABA, as well as many others. If you are interested in a collaborative workshop or speaking engagement for your agency please contact us with desired content, what population you serve, and the size of the organization/types of providers. Previous engagements include Fordham University, Molloy College, Queensborough Community College, District 75, OHEL Bais Ezra, The Friendship Circle, and The Young Child Expo (2 years as guest speakers). New York Therapy Placement Services have used Alison and Amanda for trainings with their OTs, Speech Therapists, and ABA instructors since 2012 and continue to offer workshops both to the public and their teams collaboratively.

 

Previous workshops include:

  • Understanding Behavior:
    Why are they acting this way and what can I do to help?

  • Learning to Listen:
    Understanding communicative intent-respecting the semi and nonverbal child's "talk".

  • Sensory Integration:
    Strategies, modifications, budget restraints, and how it helps children and young adults with ASD and other learning / developmental differences.

  • Building the ideal team:
    Creating respectful and functional teams for student success.
